August 2016: Taipei Customs Fines Domintech Co., Ltd. $333,397 for Trademark Infringement

On or about July 3, 2009, Taipei Customs seized 80,000 1GB microSD memory cards being exported by Domintech Co., Ltd. ("Domintech"). SD-3C LLC ("SD-3C") then filed a complaint against Domintech for trademark infringement. As a result, Taipei Customs retained the seized cards for destruction and imposed a fine against Domintech in the amount of $333,397 (approximately NT$10,001,600).

This determination was later upheld on appeal and Domintech again ordered to pay the fine.
