Japan Customs Confiscate Counterfeit SD Memory Cards and SD Host Products, Estimated Retail Value $7,850.
Tokyo Customs Officials seized 440 counterfeit SD memory cards infringing on the microSDHC and microSDXC trademarks. This shipment, originating from Hong Kong, was intercepted by Japanese Customs to prevent the importation of fake goods into the country.
In lieu of further legal action, the importer forfeited the goods for destruction under the supervision of Japan Customs Officials.
