SD-3C, LLC is a limited liability company established by Panasonic Corporation, SanDisk Corporation and Toshiba Corporation.

SD-3C, LLC licenses the next generation memory card product. SD cards are faster and more secure than typical memory cards. SD-3C, LLC licenses companies that wish to manufacture and sell SD Memory Cards, ROM Cards & OTP Cards. In order to manufacture and sell SD memory cards, a prospective licensee would need to obtain a license from SD-3C, LLC. For further information on obtaining a license, please see the FAQ tab.

To manufacture and sell SD Memory cards, including but not limited to, IO combo cards and miniSD Memory cards, the License Agreement for SDA Memory Card Specifications (LAMS) is further needed from the SD Card Association.

For companies wishing to manufacture hardware devices using SD technology, please obtain the Host/Ancillary Product License Agreement (HALA) from the SD Card Association.

SD-3C also owns design patents associated with SD memory cards and related technology.
